Delerue Wins Crystal Globe

Mt. Bachelor Snowboard Classic winner Xavier Delerue of France captured his third straight World Cup snowboard cross Thursday, capping the season with his second consecutive crystal globe in SBX. Teammates Guillaume Sachot and Aymerick Mermoz completed the men's sweep, while fellow French rider Julie Pomagalski won the women's event and secured the World Cup overall title.

Rounding out the women's podium was Norway's Line Oestvold followed by Susanne Moll of Austria, but it was Karine Ruby of France who along with Delerue, repeated her SBX title despite finishing ninth.
