Pesko Scores Sixth Career WC Win
Half Pipe
Whistler, BC — December 13, 2003

Manuela Laura Pesko of Switzerland picked up her sixth career World Cup podium Saturday, winning the women's halfpipe with 42.5 points. Australian Torah Bright finished second with 42.2 points followed by Mercedes Nicoll of Canada with 39.3 points. In the men's event Japanese rider Takaru Nakai scored his first win with 44.5 points over reigning World Cup pipe champ Xaver Hoffman of Germany with 42.6 points. Jan Michaelis, also of Germany, was third with 41.1 points.

Seth Wescott (Farmington, ME) who finished fifth in Friday's snowboard cross, was 18th and the only American to compete.
