Mont Ste. Anne, Que — December 15, 2001
Matthieu Bozzetto and Karine Ruby gave France two victories Saturday in FIS World Cup parallel slalom contests at Mont Ste. Anne. Bozzetto knocked off Mathieu Behounek of Germany in the men's final. Anton Pogue's 23rd place was the top U.S. performance. In the women's PSL, Ruby beat Heidi Renoth of Switzerland. Rosey Fletcher (Girdwood, Alaska) was 20th with Sondra Van Ert (Sun Valley, ID) 22nd and Lisa Kosglow (Boise, ID) 27th.


US Off in PGS
Mont Ste. Anne, Que — December 14, 2001
Jeff Greenwood (Hartford, CT) and Lisa Kosglow (Boise, ID) each finished 16th Friday in parallel giant slalom -- the Olympic alpine event for snowboarders. Slovenian Dejan Kosir and France's Julie Pomagalski took the wins. Kosir outrode Swiss rider Gilles Jaquet for the men's victory while Pomagalski upended Dutch rider Nicolien Saverbreij in the women's draw.


US Rider Takes 1st Halfpipe
